ASIPI attended the 35th Annual Conference of ECTA, held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 22 to 25 June 2016. On this occasion, the Association was represented by its President, Maria del Pilar Troncoso, who had the opportunity to talk with Ruta Olmane, new elected President of ECTA, as well as other members of the new Management Committee.

The event had an interesting academic agenda, that addressed issues such as Compensation for Damages in cases of Trademarks ranged from the European perspective; Anti-Counterfeiting, Enforcement and its impact on European Trademark Law; among others subjects.

On the Gala Dinner for the formal closure of the Conference, Maria del Pilar Troncoso was invited to participate in the table of Mr. Sozos-Christos Theodoulou, Second Vice President of ECTA, where she had the opportunity to talk with representatives of several European Associations.

The encounter served to strengthen ties between the two institutions, and to evaluate future mutual projects.
