Maria del Pilar Troncoso, President of ASIPI, participated in the Spring Conference of the International Anticounterfeiting Coalition (IACC), which took place from 18 to 20 May 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Florida.

The conference was held in collaboration with the Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), under the framework of “Securing the global supply chain from counterfeiting and piracy”. They were held 6 sessions with topics of current interest, such as “Development best practices across E-Commerce Platforms to address counterfeiting and piracy”; and “Blocking and seizing domain names and infringing sites”.

During the course of the conference, Maria del Pilar Troncoso participated in the first meeting of the Multi-Associations Working Team formed by the IACC, focused on developing best practices for global e-commerce platforms. This meeting was attended by Mr. Max Baucus, US Ambassador to the Republic of China, with Bob Barchiesi, President of the IACC, Travis Johnson, Vice-President of Legislative Affairs of the IACC, it also included representatives of recognized international institutions.
