Roundtable in Bolivia on the Economic Impact of Trademarks

On February 28, a roundtable organized by ASIPI and ABPI on the “Economic Impact of Trademarks” was held in La Paz, Bolivia, and had the valuable presence of Mr. Jorge Chávarro, Director 1 of the Executive Committee. He addressed the content of the study INTA-ASIPI, about the economic impact of trademarks in Panama, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.

SENAPI (National Intellectual Property Service) also participated in this event, represented by Mr. Reynaldo Campero, Head of the Department of Industrial Property, who spoke in general about figures regarding trademarks in Bolivia.

Members of ASIPI, Ms. Valeria Escobar of the firm Meliora, addressed the trademark audit, and Mr. Marcos Mercado of the firm Guevara & Gutiérrez Soc. Civil, spoke about trademarks and consumer defense.

This round table was attended by 35 people, among businessmen and lawyers linked to the sector.
