On November 9, 2016 ASIPI and WIPO held a Seminar on PCT at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel of Montevideo.

The workshop was attended by Ms. Marianela Delor, Director General of the National Directorate of Industrial Property (DNPI), Mr. Rolando M. Hernández Vigaud, Chief, Office Services Section, Division of International Cooperation, Patent Sector and Technology, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mr. Peter Waring, Chief, Technical Cooperation Section, Division of International Cooperation, Patent and Technology Sector, WIPO, and Mr. Christof Mathoi, Attorney , PCT Affairs, European Patent Office.

With a total of 30 participants, the event began with a presentation of the activities of the Inter American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI) followed by a brief reference on the latest developments in the area of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in Uruguay.

The event was of great interest and usefulness to participants as well as to the DNPI authorities who honored us with their presence.
