ASIPI and the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law are pleased to present the 2023 Scholarship Program for members of our association interested in attending one of the intellectual property educational programs offered by UNH Franklin Pierce, located in the United States.
Those interested in applying for any of the scholarships offered in 2023 must follow the conditions and requirements outlined in the program overview.

The programs for which ASIPI offers scholarships are the following:
(a) Franklin Pierce Hybrid JD (Juris Doctor) in Intellectual Property, Technology and Information Law
b) Master of Law in IP (LLM)
c) Master in Intellectual Property (MIP)
d) Intellectual Property Summer Institute
– 1 scholarship for JD in Intellectual Property, Technology and Information Law
– 2 scholarships for the LLM/MIP programs
– 3 scholarships for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI) courses.
ASIPI is calling for two competitions:
1. A competition to allocate scholarships for the JD and for the Master’s degrees (LLM/MIP);
2. A competition to allocate scholarships for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute courses.
The applicant must submit a written work on an intellectual property topic that meets the requirements outlined in the Rules for each program to which he/she applies.
Yes, the work required to apply for the scholarship to be awarded for the JD can be the same as the one required to apply for the scholarships to be awarded for the Master’s degrees. In this case, the applicant must expressly indicate this in his/her submission letter and previously review the requirements of eachprogram on the Franklin Pierce School of Law website to verify that he/she complies with them.

The deadline for submission is March 31, 2023.
ASIPI’s Executive Committee will choose a Qualifying Group made up of members of the Association and/or members of Franklin Pierce School of Law who have a distinguished academic and professional background in intellectual property.
The Qualifying Group will announce the winning papers to the ASIPI Secretary on April 25, 2023.
ASIPI’s Secretary shall communicate the names of the winners and the topics of the respective papers to ASIPI’s Executive Committee for its immediate approval and subsequently notify the winners no later than April 28, 2023.
Yes, scholarship winners must confirm their participation in the program by May 3, 2023.
No, scholarships are not transferable.
The Qualifying Group may decide not to award the scholarship or to assign it to one of the alternate authors.
The scholarship only covers the tuition costs.
The scholarship recipient is responsible for these costs.
The scholarship recipient is responsible for processing the student visa. Notwithstanding, accepted students will work with the University of New Hampshire’s Office of International Students and scholarship for support with the visa process.
