Survey on Trademark Licence Recordation
The scope of this survey is to determine whether there is any provision under the laws of the countries making it mandatory to register with the local authorities a trademark license agreement whereby a mark registered or applied for registration in said local country is licensed.
In some countries, the registration of a license agreement is mandatory for it to be considered valid and effective between the parties and/or against
third parties, while in others it is discretionary. Likewise, in some countries registration of a trademark license agreement is advisable only to enjoy certain beneits, such as tax incentives.
