Artificial intelligence is being utilized at many levels in our practice – from AI-assisted inventions, to AI-assisted creative works, to the AI-assisted drafting of legal documents. IP offices and the courts have recently issued guidelines for our use of AI, from determining inventorship/authorship in IP offices, to drafting patent applications as well as pleadings in the courts. Our panel will discuss how these guidelines vary across jurisdictions, and how we can utilize AI in our practices while adhering to these guidelines, as well as protecting our clients’ confidentiality.
