The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) is an agreement of twelve economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) that serves as the basis and means for the creation of a future Asia Pacific Free Trade Area ( FTAAP). Its negotiation process, recently completed, was among the most ambitious and extensive in its possible implications, especially in pharmaceuticals.
