On April 10th, ASIPI concluded the academic seminar of the IP Seminar in Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n

The coordinated panels began with the topic \u00a0\u00abPharmaceutical products, digital apps and big data \u2013 an environment in rapid evolution\u00bb addressed by Andr\u00e9s\u00a0Uma\u00f1a of Microsoft (Colombia); Arturo\u00a0Cu\u00e9llar from\u00a0GlaxoSmithkline (Colombia) and Juanita Acosta from\u00a0Dentons Cardenas &\u00a0Cardenas (Colombia) as moderator.<\/p>\n

Then, the speakers Marco Matias Aleman of the World Intellectual Property Organization-WIPO (Switzerland) and Roberto Ribeiro from Sanofi (Brazil), developed the topic of \u00abUse and abuse of\u00a0patent flexibilities in the TRIPS agreement\u00bb, with the participation of Gustavo de Freitas\u00a0Morais of\u00a0Dannemann,\u00a0Siemsen,\u00a0Bigler & Ipanema Moreira (Brazil) as moderator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At noon, the participants of the seminar enjoyed the lunch offered at the terrace of the Hilton Hotel.<\/p>\n

Returning to the exhibitions, the panel titled \u00abBiologic and\u00a0biosimilars\u00bb was developed with the moderation of Maritza\u00a0Reategui from\u00a0Mu\u00f1iz,\u00a0Olaya, Melendez, Castro, Ono & Herrera\u00a0Lawyers (Peru), and the participation of Ana Maria Castro from Lloreda Camacho (Colombia) ; Hugo Carrasco from Janssen-Cilag (Mexico) as speakers.<\/p>\n

Culminating the academic program, Jose Juan Mendez from M\u00e9ndez + Cort\u00e9s, S.C. (Mexico) moderated the topic of \u00abHot Topics in Pharmaceutical Trademarks\u00bb, which was addressed by Monica Andrea Ramirez, Delegate Superintendent for Industrial Property of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (Colombia) and John Rudolph of Eli Lilly and\u00a0Company (United States).<\/p>\n

Celebrating the completion of the IP Seminar, attendees, speakers, moderators and special guests enjoyed a relaxed\u00a0Happy Hour\u00a0on the Roof Top terrace of the Hilton Hotel.<\/p>\n
