Roberto Rios

Moderator

Patent Agent registered before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.

With over 19 years of experience in the area of patents, Roberto began his career as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he worked for 6 years and then graduated as a Patent Agent. Mr. Ríos worked as a Patent Specialist for the specialized search company Landon IP (now CPA Global) where he had the opportunity to search the state of the art, novelty, infringement and validity among others. In addition, Roberto worked as Operations Manager for the company Patenting Consulting Group, LLC where he coordinated and managed all matters related to the area of patents including: searches, writing and examination of applications, technology transfer and portfolio of intellectual property, among others.

During the past 11 years he has served as Director of the patent area and international services coordinator for the office Hoglund & Pamias, PSC.
