After corporate and legal internships, Ms. Kostelnik began her career at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner in the area of spinal implants and other surgical devices. Now, working in the USPTO Office of Policy and International Affairs, she advises the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property on various international and domestic patent matters with a focus on substantive and procedural harmonization, work sharing, and technical collaboration among IP Offices.
