Elisabeth Siemsen do Amaral

President of the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association – ASIPI.

With more than 35 years’ experience in IP, she is Industrial Property Agent. Partner and Member of the board of directors of Dannemann, Siemsen, Bigler & Ipanema Moreira, an Intellectual Property Firm. Specialized in trademarks, focused on prosecution, administrative litigation and strategy. Partner responsible for the National and the International Trademark Department of the firm and for DS Latam. Member of the Evaluation and Remuneration committee and of the internal Ethics Committee of the firm.

Member of  important associations such as ASIPI, AIPPI, ECTA, INTA, ABAPI and ABPI. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian IP association (ABPI).

She was recommended by the trademark guide WTR 1000 (The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals) in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 editions and awarded as an IP star by Managing Intellectual Property and highlighted as one of the Top 250 Women in IP, in the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 editions. Her name was cited in the publication of the Top 80 WIPR’s Influential Women in IP 2019 edition. She also received the Silver Marcasur Excellence Award in the 2014 edition.
