Margarita Romero

Margarita is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Romero Corral Abogados, she has extensive experience in managing the trademark portfolios of both local and international clients. In addtion to all aspects of trademark law, she also provides advice on: regulatory issues, both related to food and medicines and related to technical standards, consumer protection issues; advertising law; franchising agreements and other agreements related to commercialization of IP.
She is Member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), ECTA and member of Patent Committee of the Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI) and chair of INTA Latin American and the Caribbean Global Advisory Council – GAC for the period 2022-2023
Education:
Degree in Law, and her Doctorate of Jurisprudene from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ecuador, (PUCE) – 1996.
Masters of Law (LL.M) in Intellectual Property at The University of Alicante, Spain (“V Magister LVCENTINVS”) – (1998).
Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Law from The Simón Bolívar Andean University, Quito-Ecuador.
