On April 5 and 6, the members of the Executive Committee of the Association met in Bogotá, reporting on the tasks carried out since the Panama Conference from November of last year to the present day. Projects and activities to be carried out in the last year of management were also reviewed.

On the morning of April 7, the Executive Committee met with the Host Committee of the upcoming ASIPI Congress in Rio de Janeiro that will take place from November 25 to 28, coordinating logistical aspects as well as the academic program of the event.

In the afternoon there were two workshops, which had a great attendance. The Administration of Law Firms workshop was taught by Ross Fishman, one of the most creative marketing and branding strategists and developers of legal marketing websites, who spoke about niche marketing and industry and gave guidelines on how to excel in the market using the full range of marketing tools, including websites and social networks. On the other hand, the Anti-counterfeiting workshop dealt with the practice and strategies to pursue counterfeiting in an agile and effective way, giving the vision of all the actors involved in the process. The speakers were: Leticia León from Novartis (Mexico), Roberto Ribeiro from Sanofi (Brazil), Fredy Sierra from Pfizer (Colombia), Armando Arenas from the firm Olivares (Mexico), Martha Patricia Gómez from the Attorney General’s Office (Colombia) and Gustavo de Freitas Morais from Dannemann, Siemsen, Bigler & Ipanema Moreira (Brazil).
