On April 17, 2018 with the presence of more than 70 people, was held the presentation of the “Study of the Impact of Trademarks on the Economy” at the INPI of Argentina.

This event was organized by the Delegates of ASIPI, Ricardo Gordó Llobell and Juan Berton Moreno and counted with the participation of Dámaso Pardo, President of INPI Argentina, Etienne Sanz de Acedo, CEO of the International Trademark Association INTA, Marcela Cristini of the Foundation of Latin American Economic Research FIEL, José Luis Londoño, Director of the INTA office in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Karen Bruck, Market Manager of Mercadolibre.com was the keynote speaker of the event, who commented on the success story of Mercadolibre, explaining about the evolution of this platform, and how it currently works as an independent sales channel for many recognized brands.

The closing was in charge of Matías Noetinger, Vocal 3 of the Executive Committee of ASIPI who thanked the panelists, the INPI, its officials who collaborated and the attendees and stressed that trademarks, as important assets of the companies, should be properly protected and defended, being essential for this purpose the task of professional expert in Industrial and Intellectual Property. He also highlighted the task that ASIPI performs in the training of entrepreneurs and small businesses through the ASIPIEMPRENDE program, to inform them about the importance of protecting their Industrial and Intellectual Property rights in an appropriate manner and before starting their projects.
