DESCRIPTION:Aún y cuando sus orígenes se remontan a principios de la década de los 90’s\, no es sino hasta el 2008 en que el concepto de blockchain surgió ya como una tecnología robusta para mejorar la confianza digital en el manejo de la información.  En términos generales\, blockchain hasta hace no más de unos pocos años era considerada solamente como una tecnología que venía a apoyar algunos procesos de seguridad de la información. No obstante\, en la actualidad\, con la evolución que ha tenido\, ha migrado de ser la plataforma en la que se basó Bitcoin para pasar a ser una plataforma para desarrollar aplicaciones descentralizadas y que continúan en un camino de constante innovación generando aplicaciones cada vez más diversas y de mayor impacto en los procesos de negocio actuales. \nLos grandes especialistas en seguridad informática y criptografía consideran que más allá de los coches autónomos\, la realidad virtual o los smartphones\, el blockchain es la tecnología más importante surgida en lo que va de este siglo y que podría protagonizar una nueva revolución industrial.
