Tarso Machado

Tarso is an Electronics Engineer with a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, line of Intelligent Systems and Automation, both by Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ). He is currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Intellectual Property and Innovation, at the Academy of Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI).
Tarso is a partner at Kasznar Leonardos and currently holds the position of Head of Patents, in the domain of electronics, electric, telecommunication and information technology.
His expertise includes filing and prosecution, draft of patent applications, patentability searches and analysis, FTO searches and analysis, infringement analysis, pre-grant and post-grant patent oppositions.
Tarso is a member of FICPI (International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys), wherein he is currently an active member of the Work and Study (CET) group 6 – Software, high-tech, and computer related issues, and also a member of ABPI (Brazilian Intellectual Property Association), where he is currently the Coordinator of the Study Commission of Artificial Intelligence
