The XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI successfully begin

imagen1The beautiful city of Buenos Aires welcomes ASIPI and the attendees of this conference, for 4 intense days of meetings, panels and workshops of high academic level.

 The day began with the Administrative Council meeting where the members of the Executive Committee gave a report on all the activities carried out since the last session of the Council, held last March in Aruba.

 The numerous achievements of the association in this period, both externally and internally, were evidenced. Relevant approaches with sister international and local associations, projects of great socio-economic impact, a notable increase in academic activities, progress in the performance of the Work Committees, were presented.

 Similarly, the National Delegates gave their complete reports with the news related to Intellectual Property in their respective countries.

 The agenda of the day continued with the meeting of the Working Committees, where the goals achieved so far and the projects under discussion were discussed. As well a line of work was set for the upcoming months.

 Likewise, the ASIPI Tribunal held a meeting to follow up the current work, and the next changes in its internal organization.

 The agenda culminated in the meeting of mentors, where participants to an ASIPI event were welcomed and assisted with all the questions they presented.

 Afterwards, the Opening Ceremony began, providing formal commence to the event. The occasion had the presence of Mr. Miguel Braun, Secretary of Commerce of the Ministry of Production of the Republic of Argentina, Dr. Damaso Pardo, President of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI); Dr. Gustavo Schötz, Director of the National Direction of Copyright (DDNA), and Carolina Fernandez, President of the Argentine Association of Intellectual Property Agents (AAAPI).

 The day successfully closed with the Opening Cocktail at the Hilton Hotel in Puerto Madero.
