ASIPI, together with the National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA), organized the “Fourth Forum on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights:” The Role of National Offices “in Asuncion, Paraguay, 8th and 9th of April.

Our Treasurer Matías Noetinger was present for ASIPI, José Luis Londoño and Joel Talavera for DINAPI. Representatives of several Intellectual and Industrial Property Offices of the region participated, such as those of Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru and Uruguay.

Matías Noetinger had the opportunity to moderate the session entitled “Recent Advances in the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights and the participation of National Offices in Latin America”, which included presentations by representatives of National Offices.

The academic day also included presentations by representatives of companies, as well as police, judicial and customs authorities.

Within the framework of this event, a meeting was held between ASIPI, INTA and DINAPI with representatives of the IP Offices and they reviewed the recommendations made last year during the 3rd edition of this Forum for the improvement of enforcement as well as the topics and actions for the next edition.
