Gustavo Fischer is Attorney at Law, and Patent and Trademark Attorney. He graduated from the School of Law of the University of the Republic of Uruguay, and was admitted to the Uruguayan Bar in 1986

Mr. Gustavo Fischer serves as a Judge of the Tribunal of the Inter American Intellectual Property Association (ASIPI).
Member of the Data Protection Committee of ASIPI for periods 2016-2018 and 2019-2021.
Founding member of the Intellectual Property and the Administrative Law Groups of the University of Montevideo (UM). Professor of Public Law Litigation in the Master Programs on Economic Administrative Law (PMDAE) and on Corporate Law (PMDE) of the University of Montevideo (UM).
Professor of Intellectual Property of the Uruguay Catholic University (UCUDAL).
Mr. Fischer has also acted as Professor of the Post-Graduate Course in Intellectual Property, University of Montevideo (UM) and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Iberoamerican Intellectual Property Review.
Member of the Commission for the Amendment of Trademark Law of Uruguay, established by the governmental authority Uruguayan Trademark Office.
