As companies increase the use of AI, there are questions as to what extent human bias has made its way into AI systems. The source of bias can include training datasets, algorithms, and cognitive biases in a wide range of industries including healthcare, tracking systems, advertising and predictive policing tools, among others. In addition, the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) becomes paramount in an environment where PII is becoming the target of large language models and dataset training. The panel will discuss AI bias and privacy risks, where there should be human intervention and ethical governance best practices and recommendations.
