José Roberto Herrera

José Roberto Herrera has been the managing partner since 2011 of Herrera Díaz Abogados, a firm ranked by various legal directories such as Chambers and Partners and Leaders League among the highly recommended in Colombia for matters related to intellectual property, media, and entertainment. He holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property in Munich, Germany. He is a professor and lecturer on Intellectual Property Law and Entertainment Law at various national and international universities. He is the President of the Data Protection Committee of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) and a former president of the Entertainment Law and Copyright committees of the same association. He is a member of the boards of directors of the Colombian Copyright Center (CECOLDA) and the Colombian Association of Intellectual Property (ACPI). He has served as an arbitrator appointed by the parties before the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce in intellectual property disputes, a registered mediator with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and an advisor to various music producers, audiovi ual developers, and software and video game publishers.
