The Course of Intellectual Property for Judges and Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic successfully concludes

On September 28 and 29, the third and final module of the Course for Judges and Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic was held.

For this last meeting the Pontifical Universidad Catholic Madre y Maestra offered once again its facilities to receive the 40 judges and prosecutors who had an active participation throughout the Course. On this occasion, Prof. Rodolfo Godoy from Guatemala and Prof. Fernando Noetinger from Argentina developed the basic concepts of the law of inventions, utility models and industrial designs.

The closing words of the Course were given by María del Pilar Troncoso, President of ASIPI, Judge Edynson Alarcon representing the National School of the Judiciary (ENJ), Judge Amado Rosa representing the National School of the Ministry (ENMP) and Sharin Pablo, National Delegate of ASIPI for the Dominican Republic and President of the Dominican Association of Intellectual Property (ADOPI).

The event was a resounding success, with highly positive comments from teachers, sponsors and all judges and prosecutors involved.

ASIPI is currently working to replicate this initiative in other countries in the region.
