The processing of personal data by national or regional Intellectual Property offices has become a topic of special relevance in recent times. Intellectual Property offices must consider the processing of personal data as an essential part of their operations, ensuring the privacy of their users' personal data. This webinar will address, in a comparative manner, the applicable legal framework as well as the practices adopted by the Intellectual Property Offices of the European Union, Spain, Mexico and Chile in their personal data processing policies, adoption of security measures against possible cyber-attacks, and reporting obligations, both to the regulatory authorities and to their users, in case of security breach incidents.
