- San Telmo: Tango, Asado and a Magical Journey to the Origins of Buenos Aires
- 10:00 AM – Departure from the Hilton Hotel to head to one of the oldest and most traditional neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, San Telmo.
- 10:30 AM – We will begin our tour of the Zanjón de Granados. This complex is located in what was the seventh and final southern block of the city founded in 1580 by Juan de Garay. It wasn’t the southern limit by chance, but rather because a stream ran through that block—one of three that carried water from the city’s highlands to the Río de la Plata. In the 20th century, during the 1980s, the current owner of the property made an accidental archaeological discovery while attempting to restore this Italian-style house, whose façade and courtyards date back to the first half of the 19th century. As a result of the excavations, remains were uncovered beneath the house and neighboring buildings, including tunnels that once channeled the Zanjón de Granados, cisterns, wells, utensils, containers, and construction remnants dating from 1700, 1740, and 1830.
- 11:30 AM – We will continue walking through the streets and the San Telmo Market until we reach Plaza Dorrego, where the Anselmo Hotel is located.
- 12:30 PM – Lunch at Anselmo Lounge & Wine Bar Restaurant
- 2:00 PM – After lunch, we will enjoy a Tango class in the open patio of the Anselmo Hotel, accompanied by a delicious coffee.
- 3:30 PM – Return to the hotel with an estimated arrival at 4:00 PM.
Wednesday, December 3rd

- Art, Culture and Architecture
- 12:30 PM – Departure from the Hilton Hotel to the iconic Teatro Colón.
- 1:00 PM – Guided tour of the Teatro Colón. It is one of the must-see landmarks in the world of opera, on par with La Scala in Milan, the Opéra Garnier in Paris, and the Royal Opera House in London. This building was inaugurated on May 25, 1908, with a performance of Aida by Giuseppe Verdi. Since then, the most renowned conductors, singers, and dancers in history have graced its stage. Teatro Colón holds secrets in every corner, and experiencing a guided tour is a way to explore a piece of its over one-hundred-year history in service of both Argentine and global culture. As visitors walk through the Main Hall, the Grand Foyer, the Gallery of Busts, and the Golden Hall, they can take in astonishing details about the architecture, staircases, sculptures, and stained glass windows.
- 2:00 PM – We will head to the most elegant neighborhood in the city, Recoleta.
- 2:30 PM – Guided tour of the Recoleta Cemetery. It is the most visited cemetery in the city, known for its numerous and impressive mausoleums and vaults belonging to many of the key figures in Argentine history, including Eva Perón (Evita), whose tomb is one of the most frequented. The cemetery is also worth visiting for its architectural value, as it reflects a time when the country was an emerging economic power and the city’s leading families competed to build magnificent pantheons. Built in 1822 as the city’s first public cemetery, its layout was designed by French engineer Próspero Catelin. Later, toward the end of the 19th century, when the wealthiest families began moving to this area, it became their preferred necropolis. Among the notable personalities buried in Recoleta Cemetery are political leaders, presidents of the nation, writers, Nobel laureates, athletes, and businesspeople.
- 3:45 PM – We will walk from the Cemetery to the elegant Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, where a delicious tea will be waiting for us.
- 5:30 PM – Return to the hotel with an estimated arrival at 6:00 PM.
