Juan David Martínez is a lawyer from Universidad de los Andes – Colombia, with studies in Business Administration at the same university and at Nankai University in China. He has over eight years of experience promoting and structuring foreign investment projects totaling more than USD 50 million, including greenfield, brownfield, and venture capital initiatives, particularly in life sciences and technology sectors in Colombia.
In 2023, Juan was promoted to Head of Investment Affairs at OlarteMoure, where he leads the firm’s DeepTech investment program (Science-Based Ventures), having allocated over USD 300,000 to date in IP-based business models across health, energy, agri-food, and sustainability industries. He is also recognized for designing and structuring investment vehicles focused on DeepTech investment theses for Corporate Venture Capital in Colombia. Additionally, he leads the DeepTech Alliance Colombia, an ecosystem-building initiative aimed at attracting investment and resources for applied IP-based scientific projects in Colombia and Latin America.
