Bachelor of Laws, graduated Cum Laude from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2002. She also completed a Diploma in Business and International Trade at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) – Fundación Institucionalidad y Justicia, Inc. (FINJUS), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2005. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Legal Studies from Handong International Law School (HILS), Pohang, South Korea, obtained in 2010, and is currently finalizing her Master’s Degree in Industrial and Intellectual Property at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja, Spain (2025).
Her practice focuses on advising in the field of intellectual property, particularly trademarks and patent protection. She also provides regulatory advice to companies in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors, as well as other mass consumer products such as food and beverages. This includes commercial advice on distribution, labeling, marketing, promotion, and advertising of regulated products, as well as the licensing of regulated industries. Her professional experience spans 21 years, during which she worked at three major law firms in the Dominican Republic, reaching the position of Partner in the Intellectual Property, Life Sciences, and Health Law Department. She also served in public office for over two years as Director of the General Secretariat of the Office of the Attorney General, where she oversaw all citizen-facing administrative and legal services, and led the development and implementation of policies affecting non-profit organizations.
She is currently a Partner at MINIÑO Abogados, a law firm specializing in industrial and intellectual property in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. She is a member of the Dominican Association of Intellectual Property (ADOPI) and currently serves as President of its Board of Directors for the 2024–2026 term. She is also a member of other international intellectual property associations, such as the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), where she actively participates in the Regulatory Committee and served as National Delegate for the 2021–2023 term, and the International Trademark Association (INTA). In addition, she actively participates in the meetings of the Food and Beverage Sub-Committee of the Dominican Republic’s Association of Industries (AIRD).
She has been recognized for several consecutive years as a Leader in the Field by the international publication WIPR (http://www.worldipreview.com/listing/leaders), named as Associate to Watch and later Band 3 by Chambers and Partners, which ranks top law firms and lawyers worldwide, and has also been ranked as a Recommended Lawyer by Legal 500.
