Mike Burshteyn represents many AI companies as outside general counsel and handles AI safety, regulatory, and other AI-related disputes and litigation. He has helped companies roll out AI products and analyze issues around the world related to data collection for training AI models.
Mike also litigates complex commercial disputes and class actions involving AI, privacy, crypto, data security, and other novel Internet and technology issues as well as startup controversies. He is lead counsel in multiple cases involving more than $100m in controversy. Mike also represents clients in investigations and regulatory inquiries. He has handled disputes and incidents throughout the United States, Latin America including Mexico and Brazil, as well as in Europe and Asia Pacific. Mike previously founded and was the CEO of CryptoMove, a security startup that developed novel moving target defense technology. He draws on this business background to serve as outside general counsel to AI and other technology startups. Mike helps these innovators define and manage their legal roadmap based on practical business needs across corporate, licensing, IP, and other issues.
