Diego Fernández Slezak

Doctor in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires. During his doctorate, he focused on parameter estimation in complex biological models, for which he won the YPF Foundation Award and the IBM PhD Fellowship. He researches at the frontier between artificial intelligence and neuroscience. He received the prestigious Microsoft Faculty Fellow 2014 award and the Google Research Award LATAM for his work in this field. In 2023, he received the Diploma al Mérito from the Konex Foundation. He currently serves as an independent researcher at the ICC Institute (CONICET) and professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. Additionally, Diego is a co-founder of Entelai, a company dedicated to automatic image processing using AI.
