Luiza has over 20 years of experience specializing in intellectual property law, with a comprehensive practice that spans trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyrights, IP licensing, technology transfer agreements, and legal strategy. Luiza holds an LLB from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2006) and an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from George Washington University (2007). She has been with Murta Goyanes since 2009. Before that, she had international experience as a legal consultant at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and as an International Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Randall R. Rader at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Luiza is licensed to practice law in both Brazil and New York. An active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), Luiza frequently contributes to the field with publications and speaking engagements, sharing her expertise on various IP matters.
