In the webinar "The new route of our Tequila, our Coffee, our Rum: a commercial perspective", held on August 20th, Paola Romero and María José Sánchez from Café de Colombia, María Mercedes Sánchez from Ron de Guatemala and Ramón González Figueroa from the Tequila Regulatory Council, moderated by Jorge Chávarro from Cavelier Abogados and Vice President 2 of ASIPI, presented in a masterful manner the way in which Appellations of Origin are an Industrial Property asset with enormous potential, whose organized exploitation brings advantages to the beneficiaries of the Appellations of Origin.
Likewise, they clearly identified the challenges and opportunities faced by appellations of origin in a global economy, showing a clear incentive for lawyers who are experts in Industrial Property, to identify and achieve recognition of other geographical indications in their countries.
