Normally, the television channels or companies dedicated to the distribution of content buy from different sports leagues, the respective rights to broadcast live and exclusively these events through closed, open television or the Internet (websites or social networks).
In some cases, the fragments of said transmissions are subsequently retransmitted by natural persons without the authorization of the rights holder. This can happen, for example, in the case of a twitter user who records the most important goals of a football match and trills a video with the goals of the match. Likewise, said fragments can be exhibited by legal persons, for example it can happen in the case of a news outlet that broadcasts videos via the Internet with the most important plays of a game.
The legal implications of such broadcasts of goals or important plays of match events are currently being discussed in various countries around the world. Therefore, the Copyright Committee has decided to investigate this issue.
