On May 24, 2024, the treaty on Genetic Resources and associated Traditional Knowledge was approved in Geneva, Switzerland, after 25 years of discussions within the framework of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources, and Traditional Knowledge. The purpose of this webinar is to inform the audience about the context in which the Diplomatic Conference that approved the Treaty took place, relevant aspects of the negotiation, the content of the Treaty, as well as some national regulations that govern the matter.
