Juan Soria

Juan Carlos Soria is currently Managing Partner at SF500, an accelerator and venture fund that works together with scientists & entrepreneurs to transform science into start-ups, focused mainly on synthetic biology and technology convergence.
Before joining SF500, he held various positions in the innovation organizations:

• R&D Manager at Y-TEC (YPF TECNOLOGíA SA).
• Tech Transfer Director at CONICET – National Scientific and Technical Research Council.
• Undersecretary of SMEs and Local Development, Province of Tierra del Fuego, Arg.
• Coordinator of the Department of Science and Technology of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA).

Juan holds a degree in Political Science from the UBA, has a Higher Diploma in Local Development from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Internationalization of Local Development from the University of Bologna, Italy.
