Curriculum Vitae
Mladen Vukmir is the founding partner of Vukmir + Associates LLC, a full-service law firm based in Zagreb, Croatia, that serves the Southeastern European region in areas such as corporate, commercial, telecommunications, banking, data protection, privacy, advertising, technology, and intellectual property.
He has worked as a consultant for various domestic and international organizations, including the Croatian Government(Ministry of Science and Technology), the World Bank, the European Commission, CEFTA, and WIPO. Mladen is an arbitrator listed on multiple international and national arbitration lists, a UDRP panellist, and a panellist for different country-code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs).
With over two decades of mediation training, he actively works as a mediator, trainer, and policy creator. He currently acts as a liaison between ECTA and the EUIPO Mediation Center MCSN. Mladen Vukmir serves on the ECTA Supervisory Board and was its immediate past President (2022-2024). He is a member of INTA, a recipient of the 2020 INTA President’s Award, and a former Board member. He is also a long-standing member of AIPPI, having served as both past President and past Secretary of the Croatian national group, as well as a member of IBA, ITechLaw, GALA, and epi. Additionally, he has been a member of LESI, GGI, DACH, and UIA, among other professional organizations. He has written numerous articles and co-authored books on various topics in intellectual property law. Mladen is a frequent speaker on intellectual property issues and has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Zagreb Law School, Algebra University, the American College of Management and Technology (ACMT-RIT), and Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany (currently). He often teaches courses on intellectual property and artificial intelligence.
