Loreto Bresky

Loreto Bresky, a dedicated Chilean lawyer, serves as Senior Director in the PCT Legal and International Affairs Department, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The Department is responsible for the development of PCT as the central node of the international patent system and for supporting PCT system stakeholders, including Member States, the user community, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations. Prior to joining WIPO, Loreto held the position of Director General of the Chilean IP Office for five years. Her extensive experience in the private sector spans over two decades, during which she worked with two prominent law firms. Loreto’s dedication to her field
extends beyond her professional roles. She has served on the Board of the Chilean IP Association ACHIPI, the Pro Bono Foundation, and the ChileMujeres Foundation. Her active involvement with the Chilean Bar Association further demonstrates her dedication to making an impact for the benefit of society.
