Curriculum Vitae
He graduated from the Technological University of Mexico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (1989), completed postgraduate studies in the areas of Labor Law at the Technological University of Mexico and Intellectual and Industrial Property at the Universidad Panamericana, and has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Inter-American University for Development.
From 1994 to 2022 he collaborated at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, having as his last position that of Director General of that institution, which is the administrative authority in matters of national industrial property.
Outstanding functions in the international context include his participation in the Mexican delegation in the Negotiations of various Free Trade Agreements, Mexico-EFTA (2000), Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (2013), FTA (2017), Agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada (2018) and Economic Complementarity Agreements with Japan, Brazil and Argentina in the context of the respective intellectual property chapters.
