Eric Zarakov

Eric Zarakov has over 40 years of experience in the fields of digital imaging, 3D scanning, image sensors, and digital cameras. He has held executive and senior management positions in engineering, marketing, and business development across the span of his career.

During his 13 years at Apple Computer Inc., he was a software engineer on the first Macintosh personal computer; led the prototyping of Apple’s first digital camera; and launched the world’s photo immersive virtual reality system (Apple QuickTime VR). After Apple, he continued to contribute to early innovations in digital photography – launching the world’s first full-color CMOS image sensor; led the marketing of
digital camera technologies incorporated into billions of cell phone cameras; and launched the world’s first high resolution 3D face scanning camera. ​

Today Eric remains passionate about visual technologies and the emerging world of machine learning. He is currently VP of Account Management for Paravision, a world leader of face recognition and biometric technologies.

He holds four early-stage patents relating to the use of digital cameras.
