Ana Maria Magaña

Lawyer in Intellectual Property, specialized in the area of ​​Copyright. She is currently the General Director of MPA Mexico, representing the intellectual property interests of the 6 main Hollywood studios (Disney, Sony / Columbia, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Universal and Warner Bros.) and recently of Netflix. She is also Chair of the IP Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico and serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Coalition for Legal Access to Culture, A.C. She has a degree in Law from the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey, Campus Estado de México. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Technological University of Mexico (UNITEC); it can be highlighted in her academic experience the specialization in International Legal Framework by the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, Spain. Likewise, the WIPO Academy accredited Ms. Magaña in the areas of Industrial Property, Biotechnology, e-commerce IP management and valuation of intangible assets. Her participation in the specialty course in Copyright and Related Rights in the same institution was outstanding and has excellence in the Diploma of Lobbying, Normative Design and Strategic Communication by the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
