Curriculum Vitae
With more than two decades of practice in intellectual property matters, primarily focused on media and entertainment. Gerardo currently serves as the Vice President of IP & Content at FilliP, a startup company that acquires intellectual property assets to transform and potentialise their value in various commercial segments. Previously to FilliP, he held the role of Regional IP Director at Netflix, where he began his journey based in the Los Angeles headquarters and built the team which oversaw the IP work in Spain and Latin America. Prior to Netflix, he served as the Head of IP at Televisa. In 2006, Gerardo resided in Zug, Switzerland, where he focused on advocacy efforts related to sports, media and broadcasting rights, particularly in connection with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He graduated from law school at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Lecturer and speaker in numerous international and national forums and universities.
