Claudia Franco

Attorney at Law, specialized in intellectual property and publicity rights. Currently holds office as National Director of the National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI), a position held since August 2023. Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción and has a strong international academic background. She holds a Master’s Degree in Intellectual, Industrial, and Information Society Law from the University of Alicante, Spain, and a Master’s Degree in Publicity Rights and Representation of Artists and Athletes from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, as a scholarship recipient of the Carolina Foundation. She has also completed specialized courses at the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires, as well as an internship at AIE – Society of Artists, Performers, or Executing Artists of Spain, in Madrid. Over more than two decades of professional experience, she has been part of renowned national law firms, including Zacarías & Fernández, Gross Brown, and Ferrere Abogados. She was a co-founder of Intelectia, a law firm focused on intellectual property, new technologies, and audiovisual law. Her work has been internationally recognized, being ranked as a Notable Practitioner in Intellectual Property in Paraguay by Chambers and Partners in several editions. She has participated as a speaker at national and international forums, including events organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), among others.
