Adrian Perry is a partner at Covington & Burling LLP in New York in the Technology & IP Transactions group, one of the leaders of the firm’s metaverse, NFT and web3 practice, and co-chair of the firm’s Music Industry practice. His practice focuses on matters involving emerging and innovative uses of technology, IP, and data. He works with clients across a range of industries, with a particular focus on media, entertainment and sports industry clients, handling technology transactions, data use and commercialization agreements, content licensing through digital and mobile platforms, and sponsorship transactions. Adrian has done a significant amount of work involving NFT partnerships and NFT platform
investments, related risk assessments, and metaverse platform content licensing, brand integration and related tech services deals. He is a ranked technology lawyer in Chambers and Partners, and has been recognized multiple times by both The Hollywood Reporter as a “NY Power Lawyer,” by Billboard as a “Top Music Lawyer,” included in Variety’s “Dealmaker Impact Report” multiple years and recognized in Variety’s “Legal Impact Report.” Over the past year, Adrian has become a sought- after thought leader on NFTs in the entertainment industry and the entertainment world’s move into the metaverse – he has authored articles for Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, and Law360. A musician who has toured internationally, Adrian also worked in TV production before law school, bringing significant experience in the entertainment and media industries to his legal practice.
