TECH LICENSING – NEGOTIATING IN THE INVENTION’S WORLD

Humans are innovators, always looking for new products, technologies, processes and ways to improve knowledge. To innovate is a first step in a series of challenges to make sure that knowledge is transferred to the public and that inventors and innovators can benefit from their contributions. A proper ecosystem is required where many interests and stakeholders are considered. One where people have incentives to innovative, that knowledge can be transferred to society, inventors and companies are able to obtain legal protection and can either exploit their innovations or partner with third parties to do so. Our expert panel will dig deep into the innovation process, transfer of knowledge and technology transfer, what steps and considerations are there during the process, the need for a proper environment to innovate and particular issues/challenges related to university generated technology and how to balance impact and income.
