ASIPI Panama: A great start

The thriving and dynamic City of Panama receives more than 600 attendees who will participate, over 4 days, in our XX Work Sessions and Administrative Council. The day began with the meeting of the Administrative Council of ASIPI in which the members of the Executive Committee reported to the Delegates, Ex-Presidents and other associates, about the activities carried out as well as the projects in progress. Delegates had also a space to comment on legislative developments in their countries and projects from some of our Work Committees were highlighted. A successful start of the academic program of ASIPI Panama

As today, ASIPI formally commenced its XX Work Sessions and Administrative Council in Panama. The Inauguration Ceremony was conducted by Elisabeth Siemsen, Vice President 1 of ASIPI, and had the presence of a high profile table of honor. Excellent presentations in the second academic day of ASIPI Panama

Today, the workshops agenda of the XX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI was developed. Four academic spaces divided into two sets were held to ensure the maximum attendance of the participants. In the first session, the topic “Domain Name dispute resolution” was discussed with the speakers Francisco Rios of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Wilson Pinheiro Jabur of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI) and Martín Michaus from Basham, Ringe and Correa, SC. ASIPI Panama culminates in style

The academic program of ASIPI ended with resounding success. Prior to the start of the presentations, the Executive Committee held a meeting with Rosa María Franco, representative of the International Association of Professionals of Privacy (IAPP). With this meeting both institutions aimed to strengthen ties of collaboration, and evaluate possible joint projects.
