Myrtha Hurtado Rivas is Head Global Trademarks and Domain Names with Novartis International AG in Basel, Switzerland. She is leading the Global Trademark function in Novartis, driving the brand protection strategy cross-divisionally including in the name creation and digital medicines areas and is also in the lead of Parallel Trade defense globally.
Myrtha is a Senior Legal Expert with extensive experience in intellectual property, international business law and pharmaceutical area, in particular Trade Mark, Design, Copyright and Domain Names Law. Lately she has been recognized by Euromoney Institutional Investor Legal Media Group with the 2014 Europe Women in Business Law Award. She has been acknowledged in the In-House Awards category for Managing IP.
Myrtha has extensive international practice working in a multicultural environment and is fluent in German, French, English, Italian and Spanish.
