Current President of AIPLA – the American Intellectual Property Law Association and AIPPI (US). Previously, he held numerous other leadership positions with AIPLA, including Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and chair of the AIPLA Fellows.
Sheldon is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Gray Plant Mooty, and is a senior member of its IP, Technology & Privacy Practice Group. Gray Plant Mooty is a general practice law firm, with award-winning groups in IP, Franchise, Litigation, Health Care, and other practice areas. Sheldon is an acknowledged expert and thought leader in trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and advertising law, whose client work includes counseling, portfolio management, litigation, licensing, and transactions.
Besides his client work and dedication to AIPLA, Sheldon is a member of Trademark Office Practices Committee of INTA and the Intellectual Property Constituency of ICANN, and he has co-chaired the Advanced Trademark Law Annual Review program of PLI – the Practising Law Institute – since 2007. Sheldon’s expertise in IP law has been recognized by World Trademark Review 1000 and Who’s Who Legal.
