Andrés Valladolid

Agronomist and MSc. in Genetic Improvement of Plants by the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. He has worked at the International Potato Center as an assistant researcher in the Department of Genetic Resources and Bioinformatics. Professor of the Biodiversity and Intellectual Property course in the Master of Biocommerce and Sustainable Development of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Internacional. International speaker on issues of management and protection of genetic resources and traditional knowledge.

Since 2006, he has worked for the National Commission against Biopiracy, and since 2012 he is its president. He was a member of the Nagoya Protocol Compliance Committee.
