Iván Manrique

Biologist with a master’s degree in plant genetic improvement. Diploma in business administration. Experience in formulation and coordination of research projects. Author and co-author of publications specializing in Andean roots and tubers. He is currently the root and tuber curator of the germplasm bank of the International Potato Center (CIP) and product research and development manager at Andean Roots SRL. Since 2015 he is a member of the National Commission against Biopiracy. He is a sponsor of master’s and doctoral research papers. His topics of interest are: genetic resources, biodiversity, traditional knowledge, biopiracy, post-harvest, nutrition, agribusiness, functional and nutraceutical foods.
