Expert lawyer in the protection and management of intellectual property rights for development. He has solid knowledge in administrative law and extensive experience in public management.
Master in Law with a mention in Business Law from the University of Lima. He obtained the master’s degree with the distinction Master Summa Cum Laude with the thesis: The regulation of secondary meaning in the Andean Community law. Doctorate from the University of Alicante, Spain.
He has taken postgraduate courses in the United States of America, Europe and Japan.
Since April 2014, he has been Director and President of the Distinctive Signs Commission at INDECOPI.
He is Director of the Intellectual Property and Development Committee; and, Vice President of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement (ACE) of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO.
He is Director of the Master of Business Law of the University of Lima and professor of Intellectual Property in various Postgraduate Schools of Peru and international speaker on issues related to intellectual property.
He is also a member of the Directing Council of the National Quality Institute (INACAL).
