Daniel Legaspi

Daniel is a Partner in the Intellectual Property area of Santamarina y Steta and has more than 15 years of professional experience advising on intellectual property, franchising, licensing, and technological aspects.
He obtained his law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Property, Copyrights, and New Technologies from the Universidad Panamericana.
His practice focuses on helping clients maximize the profitability of their intangible assets by developing and executing tailored strategies involving technology (NFTs, Blockchain) at a national and international level. In addition, he currently leads the firm’s Technology Working Group focused on assisting companies in the digital environment that have evolved or ventured into Web 3.0, IoT, IoB, and the Metaverse, among others.
He has been a speaker and panelist on intellectual property issues in seminars from different associations, universities, and local and international chambers of commerce.
He is the representative of the Presidency for the Protection of Intellectual Property and a member of the Executive Committee of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Mexico City (the first Chamber of Commerce in the country, founded 148 years ago, and the largest in the number of members). In the 148 years of existence of this Chamber, it is the first time that Intellectual Property has been considered essential in the life of businesses.
